If it crosses Central America and regroups in the Gulf, it will be named Arlene.

1. But it isn't the season yet!
Not till June 1, doesn't this storm know that. :scared:

3. I guess the storm made that decision.
:D

I'm not looking forward to it this year. Supposed to be a very active season. :scared:

6. That's what I have read.
I have to get some new plywood.

I live on Back Bay Biloxi, maybe I'll just board up my house all summer long, save on air conditioning at least. :scared:

8. Not in the Pacific -- it was supposed to be a below-normal season
oops.

Then again, the morans forecast a dry winter for Hawai'i based on El Nino; what we got was the second brutal (by our standards) winter in a row. :puke:

15. Isn't the season supposed to be June 15 to November 15?
That's what I remember from living in Florida for 28 years, but I could be wrong.

18. I always thought it began June 1.
 I do think that June 1 is when they stop writing new insurance policies.

19. You're right -- officially two sources say it's 6/1 to 11/30
"The Atlantic hurricane season is officially from 1 June to 30 November. There is nothing magical in these dates, and hurricanes have occured outside of these six months, but these dates were selected to emcompass over 97% of tropical activity."

2. Looks like shes tracking to go over Copan then Isla de Roatan, Honduras
John Negroponte's old turf.

Wonder what forces will be stirred in the ancient, silent temples of Copan?

10. Adrian would apparently be El Salvador's first hurricane. Ever.
but global warming and climate change are myths because Our Great President Cuckoobananas said so. :sarcasm:

http://dailynews.yahoo.com/s/ap/hurricane_adrian

President Tony Saca appealed to his citizens to obey evacuation requests as the country faced what was believed to be its first hurricane. "We understand that they are guarding their belongings, but lives are worth more than anything," he told Radio La Chevere.

Gotta wonder how people who have never, ever faced a hurricane will react... :scared:

13. I don't need this shit.
I'm in central Florida and three hurricanes went right over me last season. There are still lots of folks waiting to have repairs done to their homes.

17. Spoke to a friend from my high school class today --
She's in Okeechobee, Florida and they sustained $48,000 worth of damage in last year's hurricanes. Still not completely cleaned up there -- she said that a lot of people are still homeless.

Un-freakin'-believable! We've got billions strung out in Iraq and our people are hurting here at home in so many ways!
