Any financial planners here?
This educated but nonetheless long-term unemployed schmuck is thinking of becoming a financial planner affiliated with one of the mutual fund houses.

I'm not at all optimistic about this as I see a steadily declining customer base and a securities market that is not likely to maintain its long-term historical rate of growth.

My concerns are not with my abilities or with the products which would be available to me. My concern is long-term ability to earn a living wage - which of course will primarily be dependent upon the acquisition of clients and their subsequent purchase of various products and services.

Any advice?
