Another semester done. More life troubles. What's a girl to do!?
Another semester in the books. I have not looked at my grades due to the fact that I am to chicken to do so.
The new problem is how to earn more money that we have right now. The love of my life in now working in a railroad salvage company. He is earning $9 an hour, he works 40 hours a week. I work a a local TV station for 32 hours every 2 weeks at $6 an hour. That is enough to pay the bills, but yet not enough to save back much.
Here is the dilemma, my man is old school. He feels as if it is his job to take care of me and bring home the money. He feels bad that he can't make the money he is use to making. He is really out of his element, he feels that he is making below his true means. I offer to take a second job, but that bothers him. I want to help not cause him more stress! What a girl to do!!??

1. It's your jobs (collectively) to take care of each other

that can mean different things at different times and life circumstances - some of which are beyond your individual and personal control.

If he's dissatisfied with the current situation, then start considering alternatives including promotion/raise where he works or other jobs. Discreetly of course. And plan where he can go from there for the longer term.

5. Work in a library
Tell him you are volunteering. Then one day bring up that they offered you a paying job.Your foot will already be in the door and it will be hard for him to find an excuse to say no.
