Anyone ever get itchy skin from wearing sunblock?
I've been using the NO-AD spf 50 sport block. I use it just about every day and I've been itching like crazy since I started using it a few weeks ago. Does anyone know of any good sun blocks I can try that won't make my skin feel itchy? I need something that is sweat-proof and water-proof.

1. If all else fails...
There is always the old standby of a Titanium Dioxide sunblock. Almost nobody ever reacts to those.

3. Hmm.. but are those sweat-proof and water-proof?
I wear sunblock when I go running or swimming, so it's no good to me if it isn't sweat-proof and water-proof.

2. Does it contain PABA? PABA is a common allergy
and makes my skin itch like crazy.

4. I'm not sure.
It doesn't say that it is PABA free on the bottle, but I also don't see PABA in the ingredient. Is there another name for PABA that I should be looking for?

7. I couldn't find that ingredient in my sunblock.
The active ingredients in this sunblock are Homosalate, Octinoxate, Oxybenzone, Octisalate. Of course there are lots of inactive ingredients, none of which appear to be PABA.

8. Well, then...
First try a PABA sunblock, as those are available everywhere, and next the TiO2 sunblock.

One of them should work for you. Cosmetically, some people do not like TiO2 as it whitens the skin when it is on, and this is why it fell out of favor.

9. I think maybe I need a non-comedogenic sunblock.
I noticed my sunblock doesn't say non-comedogenic on the bottle. I just read some place online that if your sunblock makes you feel itchy it could be because it is clogging your pores.
