Just me & my SO at a beach house with my folks and no INTERNETses....

I drank my last bottle of merlot just THINKING about what tomorrow might bring.

It didn't help.

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE my Mom & Stepdad (the only REAL father I ever had)...they made me who I am.
And they are both smart and freethinking people, who really try to live up to the real IDEALS that Jesus tried to teach....

But with the way things are these days, trying to talk about any REAL issues with these serious XTIANS is like jogging through a MINEFIELD.

They only watch Corporate media, and I have no idea what has gone on at their church since I was there 8 years ago (Easter Sunday),
when their church's children presented a short PLAY ....
which mentioned that "the Jews killed Jesus"...

So it's gonna be rough; I don't know if my tongue can stand this much BITING.

SO:
Would someone (or everyone) with a purer heart than I...
PLEASE pray that a big bale of cannabis floats up onshore where I find it,
so that I might get through the next six days,
without "running amok"?

1. I will pray for you.

I have similar parents.

They are very elderly now. They used to be good Democrats, and fairly liberal. They got born-again, and that changed.

I try to spend a day with them a couple of times a year. After all, they are my parents, and they are 76 and 80. They won't be around forever.

It is a strain. My father always wants to argue. I try very hard to be nice. Having my husband there, and sometimes my grown children, does help. They also try to be as diplomatic as possible.

God be with you. Stay calm.

2. My Dad and Stepmom USED To Be Christians...

...until they became "conservative christians". Now there is very little evidence of Christianity in them. I Love them dearly, but I can no longer spend much time with them, for they love to argue, judge, and condemn, while "singing praises unto Bushco".
I can totally relate to your dilemna.
And I'll be praying for your herbal medicine to arrive early. ;-)
