I swear the cops use our neighborhood to train new helicopter pilots...

They tear around about once a week with the spotlight and fly in circles, never hear any sirens, never see any cars, nada mas. Just the copter. it irritates me so, and I'm not sure why.

OK! now they are flying directly over my house. This shit pisses me off. it's 1130 on a Monday, what if I was asleep? I'm not...but what if I was?!?!?

That's the only thing I can think of that sounds logical. I live in the woods, so I never hear any rigamoroll like that.

Could it be a hospital helicopter looking for a landing pad nearby?

4. Nah, they are here every week or so...

It's low enough to see that it's a police helicopter. I think they patrol for drug dealers...there is a lot of that about five blocks away, they stay away from our street though.

sidenote: I caught a guy smoking crack between mine and my neighbors house (a business actually) when we first moved here. I bitched him out and ran him off. Told him the school across the street had cameras and that it was a federal crime to smoke crack within 100 yards of a school. He, nor anyone else, has ever come close to our neighborhood since. Word spreads fast I guess. I kinda wish I hadn't been so freaked out and had known of some resources for him and his friend, but we had just moved here...

so I hear the ambulance quite often ... of course it isn't as loud as helicopters.

I live in the flight-path of helicopters for Sheriff's, Military, Black Ops, AND Medical...
They do fly extremely low, invading airspace, and almost topping trees.
