My classroom and desk keys I carry on a lanyard looped around my belt and stuck in my pocket. Looks dorky, but I'm already overflowing with dry-erase markers, pens, dice and other crap. All other keys are on one of those "quick release" double ring jobs.

The heavier your keys the worse it is for your ignition thingy (sorry I don't get too technical). Too much weight can damage it.

I use plain metal rings, one with the car key, one with my house key, my mom's house key, and another one with the store keys.
