Flight Attendants Strip To Protest Pension Loss (United Airlines)

CHICAGO -- Some United Airlines flight attendants are baring more than their souls to protest being stripped of their pensions.

Five women, ranging in age from 55 to 64, are posing for a 2006 calendar.

Retired flight attendant Connie Baker is the project's creator and one of the volunteer models. She hopes the calendar will raise some money for charity and some awareness about United's pension situation.

Baker said her pension will be cut in half thanks to a decision by a bankruptcy court that will allow the airline to terminate retirement benefits. While Baker and the others show plenty, their modesty is protected by strategically placed props.

...but unless it's Cher or some other "Surgically Enhanced" 55-64 year-old woman, my stomach tends to churn at the thought. And let's be honest, how may flight attendants have the kind of money it would take to "enhance" a 55-64 year old body to the point of being attractive when nude?

I love that project. And I'm sure the women won't be portrayed in the usual silly "sexual" pin-up poses with sucked-in belly and stuck-out hips but as what they are: dignified humans.
