No sleep for me, wheee!!!
Yet another night staring down the barrel of insomnia. Actually, I'm feeling OK, strangely enough. I managed to get some sack time over the weekend - nine mugs of Boddingtons will do that - and I also think I am starting to be able to function on a much more normal level on less sleep. Hell, you get good at anything with enough practice.

So here I be, wide awake and actually feeling kinda chipper. Gonna get some work done. Gonna pull the Nukular Option to end this goddam insomnia bout once and for all. Gonna stay up all night, stay up all day, and not try to sleep again until midnight tomorrow.

All aboard the crazy train, folks. It gets weird from here.

22. I could go for a slave, but I'd insist on him not being referred to as
Man Slave. Or Mr. Slave. You swarthy bastard might do.

9. I have always suffered chronic insomnia
I tried an experiment and it takes me 40 hours to get tired enough to sleep naturally (when no work is involved). Ambien is my savior.

Actually, Will, I'm sorry to hear it...I've been wondering if you'd managed to break the insomnia's back in the past few days. Now I see you have not. I'm glad you're feeling better, though...

Hmm, just went over to your PDA website, and I see you're going to be in LA on June 5th! I just might come to that...What a treat to meet a famous and intelligent writer!

Good luck staying awake tomorrow...

21. My insomnia is cyclical.
This is an insomniac period. It will probably go away in another week or so.

I love the night. But the rest of the world functions during the day.

23. Now I got that song stuck in my head
Thanx a pantload Will... ;P

I was on 40 hours w/o sleep yesterday. Had a good cry and finally slept for a whole 6 hours (my max so far.) Also didn't wake suddenly like I been doing all week.

The few I still talk to haven't been sleeping much either. Any theories?

25. I've been an insominac since I was a kid...
I don't know what to tell you other than maybe take a hot bath; it's helped a few times when I've really needed the sleep and drugging myself wasn't an option..

31. I know for someone like you, this would be difficult, but
a regular exercise program would probably do you a world of good - and no alcohol :(

This advice has been given by a former night stalker.
