4. Everybody being nice on DU as far as I've noticed
Out in the world, not so much

The US Air Force Academy canned the chaplain asked to look into complaints about discrimination by Evangelicals against others at the Academy. She sided with those making the complaints.

Some Southern Baptists in Texas have been advised to look for schools
teaching tolerance.

Some Islamic religious leaders have given the US 3 days to turn over the idiots accused of flushing a Koran down the loo or there will be a Jihad declared against us.

After that, I went outside to listen to birds for a few hours.

Want some apricot brandy now that I've filled you in a little?

5. For starters, it looks like I'm gonna win the pizza:
Rolling Stone Review:

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Drink the Kool-Aid. Wear blinders. Cover your ears. Because that's the only way you can totally enjoy Revenge of the Sith -- the final and most futile attempt from skilled producer, clumsy director and tin-eared writer George Lucas to create a prequel trilogy to match the myth-making spirit of the original Star Wars saga he unleashed twenty-eight years ago. Fan boys, of course, have convinced themselves otherwise. So have several critics, if you go by early reviews.

Heralded for its savagery (my God, it's rated PG-13), the film follows Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen -- to merely call him wooden is an affront to puppets everywhere) as he loses his limbs and his conscience and takes on the evil mantle of Darth Vader. But thematic darkness is no excuse for dimness in all other departments, except the visual.

###

Villiage Voice Review:

May the Force Be Over

No doubt the most expensive stoner film in history, the alleged final installment of George Lucas's elongated adolescence turns out to be not so much a movie as a relentlessly vivid parade of visually overstuffed set pieces, a digital-age Doré Bible illustrating defining moments in the soap-operatic Star Wars mythos.

No pixel goes untweaked under Lucas's watch. The border-lines between sets, humans, and CGI vanish, giving the auteur free rein to conjure some particularly florid dreamscapes: roiling oceans of hell-red magma, iguana-like steeds the size of pachyderms, a female Jedi murdered beneath a canopy of gargantuan luminescent flowers. Visionary, perhaps, but also super-sized, surfacey, and not slightly cheesy.

11. Believe or not, I've never Been to Paris
I was always in either western France or the on the Cote d'Azure.

Nice is nice. Cannes is cool

Luxembourg and Brussels are nice places too.

And don't forget Amsterdam!

The first place I'd go in Paris is St Germain, where I'll sit at a Cafe, drink coffee and watch the world walk by.

10. Well
there was a catfight in the produce section, spurred by a mole that got loose in the citrus bins.

There was an invasion from conservo sights claiming naked beastiality intending to stir things up with false characterizations of said cat and mole running around in the lounge.

After much gnashing and baring of teeth said invaders skulked into oblivion.
