Poll question: John, Paul, George or Ringo?
Which Beatle is your favorite?

2. Flame bait
Seriously, the last time I responded to a 'favorite Beatle' thread, I got flamed.

But the Beatles were John's band.

Paul McCartney's band is Wings.

7. Dude! You're still here!
Nice to see you :hi:

I thought maybe you'd be basking in the afterglow somewhere like GD or GD politics or even *gasp* LBN :P

11. yep, I've dug myself in now, like a nasty little tick in DU's backside
Nice to see you too!:hi:

I did spend a couple of days wallowing in my glory in GD whilst folk in here were getting whatever they had to out of their systems. But it only took a couple of my threads sinking like stones over there to remind me that I am, after all, but a man.:P

15. I think it was just some growing pains - it happens every once
in a while. Things will back to normal (that being a relative term of course) in a few days. :hi:

9. Mine too. The most versatile Beatle.
I liked his songs better than the Lennon/McCartney ones.

10. Ringo
Had to give a vote to my boy, Ringo.

He was my original favorite Beatle when I first got into them as a child; Paul and George have also been favorites at different times.

I love much of John's music with and without the Beatles and admire his political views, but he has never been my favorite Beatle, largely based on my perception of his personality. I know many feel similarly about Paul; it's interesting how different people's personal perceptions can be.

13. I voted for Ringo
because I overheard a conversation between my son and his then girlfriend when they were both 3 years old (a decade ago). They were discussing the Beatles and they both decided that Ringo was. . .get this. . . the best vocalist. Cracked me up.

16. Paul was the best composer by far.
He became a cheeseball afterwards, and he wasn't as outspoken or eloquent as John -- and is still alive (-10 points for any rockstar). But Paul's sense of melody is probably the best of any 20th century composer.

17. Lennon, but each one made the Beatles the band it was.
I like their solo careers, but the way each balanced the other when the band was at its best could never be achieved by any of them individually, in my opinion.
