Freshwater beaches aren't even interesting any more.

8. Is Plum Island still there? Last I heard it was eroding away.
Due to the Salibury Beach Jetty (Black Rocks).
We went there a few times as kids, but us poor Lawrence people ended up in Salisbury every year.

10. It's still there, and still beautiful. Salisbury was like Lawrence East
I grew up going to Seabrook in the summer. :-)

11. We were priced out of Seabrook and Hampton.
Lawrence East! LOL! You're right!
Italians, French Canadians ans Puerto Ricans ruled Salisbury during the season. It was still a fun place with the Midway rides, food stands, bars and arcades.
I have many great memories from salisbury Beach. Every summer my parents would rent a cottage there for two weeks. It was the highlight of my summer.

25. and don't you just love it. !!! I love the snorkeling too, but
the east beaches are just heavenly. I do understand that on Sundays that is where the locals go and they are more populated.

22. Hawaii: Ahihi Reserve, Kona
My spouse and I discovered this little cove south of Kona, on the Big Island. We started snorkeling there, and then once I learned scuba, we did dives there. It's relatively shallow (about 20 feet) but teeming with sea life. The only drawback, sharp rocks, lava beach.

The thought of that place is so relaxing, when I visit the MD for a blood pressure reading, I think of stepping into the cove, taking a deep breath and diving underwater...
