1. Are you an official agnostic?
You were the one in the other thread who brought up Aliester Crowley (who seemed to have lived a rather interesting life).

I belong to the Church of Religious Science AND a local Unitarian-Universalist church. I believe that each of us is on the right and perfect path to God (however we conceptualize the One-Energy), so I had better get out of this thread (those are two progressive, open, affirming and welcoming faiths, by-the-way).

10. Join our SOUPs DU Group.
We can explore various beliefs.

We have a good group going on there.

Peace and Blessings,

2. A devout agnostic would never feel left our or included in anything.
And to quote Grouch Marx, "I would never be part of any 'club' that would have me as a member."

4. Actually, I think agnostics would acknowledge the possibility..
that they're being left out, but they're not sure about it.

7. You know, the Unitarian-Universalist church welcomes ..
people who believe in God, people who believe in Gods and/or Goddesses, people who don't know what's out there, and people who doubt that there is a God (and people who are certain there is no God).

That's one thing I like about it; the church is welcoming and emphasizes community.

11. Still learning about that.
We do quite a bit of humanitarian/social/community work, in addition to participating in activist events/rallies.

13. One good definition of an agnostic is one who cannot KNOW
if there is a God or not.

15. Now you know the fundamental
problem with being an agnostic.
You get preached at from both sides and nobody will let you say anything.

17. Ever read the book "Farewell to God" by Charles Templeton?
He used to be with the Billy Graham Crusade. Then he turned to an Agnostic.

People start burning question marks on their front lawn.
