Well, the Enterprise finale SUCKED...
They killed off my favorite character for no particular reason... and the captain was awfully cheerful for having lost a 20 year friend. Then, framing it as part of a ST:TNG episode? MAJOR suckitude. That would have worked well as a vehicle for an episode other than the finale. Making the series finale essentially a subplot of another series? They couldn't have crapped on the series (or for that matter, the cast) any harder.

What a disappointment. At least I hear that Revenge of the Sith is the third best of the Star Wars movies, and Battlestar Galactica has been completely kicking ass, so there's hope for a science fiction fan this summer.

1. Yes but, it's not their fault. QL's finale sucked too because it
was shut down in a hurry, giving the writers no room to craft a decent ending. I suspect the same deal happened here.

3. Well, it's still a letdown.
The thing was, killing Trip off was completely unnecessary. It had no effect on the plot. If that hadn't happened I might have been able to live with it.

I've liked some things about this series - perhaps nothing more than the mirror universe episode, a totally cool answer to "what happened to the Defiant" - but the series that they probably should have been doing was "Star Trek: Excelsior" with Sulu's ship. I heard George Takei say one time that he'd do it in a heartbeat.

2. It's all facelifts and makeup.
Yuck.

The plot was pure fanwank.

Archer's line of "To the next generation" is also an insult; I'm amazed they had that brief snippet of Kirk's monologue at the end. Berman never really liked the Kirk era...

4. I agree, but I never liked this series at all - made me appreciate Voyager
way more than I did when Janeway was on every week.

I'm really diggin' Stargate: Atlantis.

I want my Trek tho. A good Trek series is not impossible, its already been done. It can be done again. I want the Trek people to shake up whatever they have to shake up to put a good, post-TNG timeframe (more futuristic, imaginative and fantastic) Trek on the air within a year. I don't want to "wait a few years," as I've read is the plan, I want it next year at the latest. I think most Trek fans want and demand what we know is possible, and soon.

I can't mourn for Enterprise, and I'm not ready to mourn Trek.

5. I'm watching it now.
It is good to see the TNG characters and the outside of the Enterprise D again, but the inside looks very inaccurate. You would think as much time as they spent recreating the Constitution class starship inside, they could have done more with the inside of the Enterprise D.

8. They missed a few things.
overall a B+ for accuracy, but the holodeck Arch set being the most weakest aspect.

Especially when they made and used gorgrous 3D exterior models. Such detail would take a lot of time to do. Even on a computer.

10. The turbolift was the worst.
And the fact that Riker's outfit changes from character to himself.

6. tonight was the end for Andromeda too. Nothing by Roddenberry on TV now.
And that makes me sad. All the Sci-Fi shows are going away and that's really all I care to watch. Kind of my escape from the real world. I will never embrace reality TV.

7. The actor playing your favorite character wanted to quit for every reason.
Though it's not likely Archer and his gang will return any time soon, it's doubtful he can be revived.

I also saw the episode as Riker looking at old events; I didn't see it as if the whole of "Enterprise" was a holodeck similation. Just a recreation of the original events.

9. I agree. boooooring.
I gave up on this series after the first season but I tuned in tonight since I was totally into all the past ST shows. I was expecting something much bigger since this was essentially the end of Star Trek. I guess it's a weak ending to a weak show.

So long Star Trek. I loved you in the 90's but you lost me in this decade.

Now on to Star Wars!
