list of things I would rather be doing than sitting at work on a Sat AM:
1) driving rusted nails into my eyesockets!

My job occasionally has me work on Sat, or Sun, and we get a day off during the week...

2) eating crushed glass, with a rubbing alcohol chaser!

...and today is my Saturday...

3) Wrestle a starving lioness for her supper.

...the trouble is that my job is mostly troubleshooter, so I have to sit around and wait for stuff to break...

4) jump into a pool of live pihranna.

...and while usually there are some things that need to be done, today there is no work in the system...

5) have my partner catch me in bed with another man.

...so rather than being home, finishing my Halloween display, or preparing for my trip to San Diego next week, I am here...

6) jump out of a perfectly good airplane with no parachute.

...wasting my time...

7) coat my genitals in honey, and then tie myself naked to a fire ant mound.

...waiting for the clock to strike 4:30. SOMEBODY HELP ME!

2. I work for the phone company here in CT...
and during the week I am fairly well occupied, but on the weekend, we are basically here in case something breaks and people lose phone service. I used to be able to at least stream some NPR here, but in the last week, it appears that they configured the office computers to prevent audio streaming. Now, I either have to listen to our crappy local NPR station, or nasty commercial radio, with hate DJ's and computer selected crappy pop music.<sigh> What's a fella to do!

5. I work alone in an office.
There is no one else here (which is fine. I don't have to pretend I like people I don't like etc.)

13. That is more or less what I have been doing...
I have been trying to find a local bricks and mortar store that sells liquid latex, so that I can finish my skeleton, and put out my coffin when I get home tonight, but looking for that online, I might as well be searching for "Nasty mom's who do anal!" Everytime I click on a link for one, the filter software on my office computer blocks me out. Bastards! I think I finally found a place... a local costume shop that is open, and I am not kidding you, from 12-2. They are close and I can go during my half hour lunch today. The last time I tried to go there on my lunch, the guy opening the shop was a half hour late. When he finally showed up, no apologies not a word, just the "you should be thankful that I even bothered to show up at all" nellie queen attitude. Boy, there was almost a cat fight that day, I tell ya!
