Do you happen to know the history on that image. It appears that the one penguin really just falls thru the ice & the flipper help was what was added in.

3. You are correct

I first saw the gif animation a few weeks ago (was it on oaf of office's sig line?) and then a day or so later I was watching a PBS special on the Antarctic and saw exactly the same scene minus the flipper push. I was soooo disillusioned. I still think the gif is funny as hell however.

where rather than a flipper push, the penguin sticks his foot out tripping the other penguin. Both are really funny!
