a refrigerator without a drip pan??
A friend moved into a rental house. Water runs out from under the refrigerator periodically; about a cup twice a day or so. So I figured I'd check the drip pan for her. Huh? No drip pan. Is it possible that a Whirlpool fridge from the 70s was designed without a drip pan?

1. Probably long gone
Maybe a previous tenant thought tossing it in the trash was easier than cleaning it?

2. Well, I had a drip pan
but water leaked from my fridge anyway. The drip pan did not collect the drips. Since the fridge was old I didn't bother to have it repaired, bought myself a new one. No more leaks.

You need to let your landlord know about this problem. When I had the leak my foods were either freezing at times or not cold enough. Be careful with the temp. of food.
