Dennis Miller quit CNBC Wednesday as the network was preparing to dump his low-rated talk show.

Sources say CNBC was going to to axe "Dennis Miller" next month. But Miller apparently hastened the process when he was told of the plans.

"I have spoken with Dennis Miller about these plans, and he has let me know that his strong preference is to leave his program immediately," CNBC president Mark Hoffman wrote in an internal memo.

"Dennis is an exceptionally talented comedian with an unmatched wit, and he and his team consistently delivered a very entertaining program," Hoffman wrote in his memo.

1 Where did you get that card? I love it!

2 Your screen name. Do you mean that ** eats beef if laura (you know her, "America's First Lady: America's First Mother") cuts the pieces into small enough bites?

3 miller quitting reminds me of an episode of he old Dick Van Dyke show where Laura comes to work for him, they fight and Laura leaves saying "I'm FIRED". Rob goes to the door and yells "You're not fired, I QUIT YOU"!

7. OK, here are 3 responses...

1). I just did a Google Image Search for Dennis Miller...

2). The name came from the RIDICULOUS statement Bush made during his first term, when we had the Canadian mad cow disease scare, and all of his Texas cattle rancher buddies were afraid people would stop eating beef. He went before the cameras on his Crawford Pig Farm, and did his usual stuttering and stumbling and said "I had beef for lunch today!" I just sat in front of the TV and went "WHAT?"

He looked like a proud little kid who calls his mommy and daddy to inspect the toilet the first time he "goes" by himself. So Bush_Eats_Beef, for me, is a nice "25 words or less" label that expresses everything I feel about our fearless leader.

3). Yep, Miller somehow thinks that "quitting" acts as a form of camouflage for the fact that no one was watching his show, and in his case, sucking up to Bush and Company DID NOT make him the next Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity...it just made him "unemployed."
