The good word is, not only do I have another sale pending, but a woman I work with asked me to paint one for her.

I may just take up her offer. ;-)

9. My dear Longgrain!
You have no reason to apologize! I was the ONE screwing up the post...something didn't work when I cut and pasted your original whatever you call it...the stuff that indicates where the painting came from, the jargon from Photobucket...Anywell, all is well now, and I'm happy!

Thank you so much!

44. What I really like about this piece is the background...
Your use of color and texture.

It's almost abstract... Very interesting to look upon.

45. "I thought, wow, I WANT this one!"
If there's any better way to buy art, I'd like
to know about it.

It isn't art if it doesn't jump up and grab you.

:)

Great find.

46. I agree, you need to have whatever it is that speaks to you...I've done
this with just about everything I have in my life, and it always works. Even with marrying my husband! You just have to trust your gut feelings, and I do..."To thine own self be true..." Mr. Shakespeare had it right...

13. Longgrain, I've got a question for you
Do you do your painting outside as well? I occasionally do some wood engraving al fresco, when I can, and I just love the way the sunlight affects my work.

14. Most of my painting is done outside in natural light.
It's funny how different they look once you bring them indoors. Almost as if the sunlight adds a magical sort of glow to a painting.

17. It sure does :-)
Indoor light is differently colored than sunlight, which itself also varies depending on how much stuff's in the sky that day. Unfortunately, most book- and printmaking machinery is too cumbersome to bring outdoors, so I only get to do the engraving in the park or wherever. Anyway, you lucky dog to get to do art outside :-)

38. Hi, Book Lover, yes, I think so...
There's a really nice window seat in my study, where I am right now, and a lot of the time, LOL! I look into that space all the time. It faces north, and there are windows on the north and east. They are covered with a lovely duet shade, kind of pleated and doubled. No direct sun comes through, just a perfect diffused sort of light. I'm going to hang it there and see if the reality matches my vision. Now wouldn't that be nice? And if it does, then I'll take a photo, and everybody will get to see it. If the spot doesn't work, then I'll have to look around some more...but I think it will.

I CAN'T WAIT!
