Topless Sunbathing OK At N.C. Beach

TOPSAIL BEACH, N.C. -- There's no need to call the police if you run across a woman sunbathing topless at North Carolina's Topsail Beach.

It's perfectly legal.

Topsail Beach doesn't have an ordinance prohibiting women from baring their breasts in public.

Police Chief Rickey Smith said officers patrolling the beach spot a topless woman every few years.

Smith said they just ask such sunbathers to move to the southern end of the island, where there are fewer tourists.

Smith said the area is so isolated that there are few problems.

But he said things could change as the population increases.

At least one resident -- 88-year-old Mildred Wilson -- said she'd tell a topless woman to cover up because at her age, she can do it.

It's legal EVERYWHERE on Canadian beaches. They ruled that guys didn't have to so requiring girls to was discriminatory.

Wilmington NC is for some reason got some of the most beautiful populations you have ever seen. They filmed Dawson's Creek there and all the crowd in the background weren't actors just the locals. Everyone who goes there is just plain shocked at home everyone is so good looking.
