I think I'll have their Penne Arrabbiata, as usual.

1. Oooh boy! You're going to bring out all the Olive Garden hatas!
That place seems to be so despised around here. I don't know, I only ate there once, and I thought it was okay.

24. there are far far worse places than the Olive Garden
far, far worse. OTOH, there are better places, too. How's that for equivocation? ;)

3. I don't know why - people can be such snobs sometimes
The friend I'm meeting is coming to my town for lunch, and she likes that place and doesn't want to go anywhere else here, so...I love their breadsticks and the aforementioned Penne Arrabbiata.

5. I'm sure it's snobbery in some cases...
...I just find their food to be loathsome. And yes, I've eaten there many times (though not in years).

No judgment on you, if you like it, fine.

8. Yeah, to each his own I guess.
I know that it ain't exactly home cooking like Mama used to make, back in the old country, but for less than ten bucks you can get an acceptable lunch or dinner. What's wrong with that?

13. don't let it get to you
people like to act superior at times--if someone likes "American Idol" you hear about that too.

25. my family likes it
and they have stuff for the kid to eat. So I don't usually argue. I like their food, no it's not Italy, but it's better than many chains. And their berry crostada is scrumptious.

12. Yuck!
Worst tiramisu, ever! A SuziQ dipped in coffee would be better!

The only thing good about Olive Garden is the portion size. It's just Denny's with vowels at the end of every dish's name.

14. Well it certainly is not the best I've had. I've had much much better,
but that is my fave dessert and that's where they're going so I'll take what I can get. I've also had worse than Olive GArden. :)

17. Really?
Not me. It's the worst i ever had. And i grew up in a family that made it homemade. (Sicilian immigrants just one generation removed from me.)

There's not enough coffee in the cake batter or in the cream. Too much cream, too! It's one of my top 5 fave desserts too! That's probably why i'm kind of picky.

Macaroni Grill is the worst I've ever had. But like I said I'll take it when it's available. There is a restaurant around here that makes it and it is divine. The best I've ever had, and I try it everywhere I go. Olive Garden should add more coffee though, that is what makes it sooo good and moist.
