Poll question: What is your favorite Air America Radio radio show?
Edited on Thu May-12-05 09:39 AM by expatriot
This is probably a fairly frequent poll question, but answer it anyway.

1. I like lots of em, but need some humor in the morning----

Morning Sedition mixes quirky humor with some really good, serious interviews. Mark Riley as the journalist (and sometimes historian) and Mark Maron as the passionate novice to radio/politics, but as a stand-up comedian, adding the creativity and fun. While I sleep through the first hour, largely, I still make sure the "puter" is streaming at 4 am, when it comes on here in the Mountain Time Zone.

Like Franken, Randi, Laura F, RFK/Pap on Ring of Fire, Majority Report (but don't get to hear as often as in the past). I try to hear a repeat of rachel Maddow sometime during the day, too. I like Malloy, of course, but sometimes I need a break, as his intensity can be overwhelming at times. Not sure, yet about Springer. He's articulate and savy, but I just find listening to him boring after a while. Frankly I like Sam Seder sitting in for him this week, better! (ok, flame me,JS fans--he may grow on me, but right now is my least favorite).

2. Tough choice.

I love Molloy. He makes me want to cry.
I really enjoy Randi. I always learn a lot from her.
Mark and Marc are terrific. Would never miss them. Great chemistry.
Sam Seder has intelligence and passion, as does Janeane, altho they are like oil and water together. Sometimes their harping is too much. They are better alone. It is great when Seder subs for someone.
Laura Flanders, fantastic, cool intelligence.
Bobby and Mike..Ring of Fire GREAT! Informative and interesting.
Franken and Springer serve a purpose for the potential converts. Very rarely do I learn anything new from them.
I am grateful for the existence of this station and appreciate each personality for a different reason. The analogy I would make is that I love Sushi, but I would not want to have it for dinner every day. I appreciate the variety and the choices that the different personalities offer me.
EDIT: Forgot Rachel Maddow. I think she is bright and passionate. Like her very much. I do get up to listen to her when I can. I enjoy when she is on with Mark and Marc

3. Hmm... It's like choosing among my children.
*sigh*
