Attention DU Golfers
A blind 89 year-old golfer recently made a hole-in-one. Who else has bragging rights?

1. I'm not blind. Or 89.
But I did hit a hole-in-one this year. 139 yd 9-iron. I'd come close before, but this one just happened to roll in. It helped counter the eight I took on the first hole.

2. All Right!
It seems all I can do is say a few words---usuaully the ones that get me escorted off the course.

3. That's about right for me too.
Just got lucky once is all.

And this is really frustrating: The more I golf, the worse I get. I usually start out pretty good (for me, anyway), but by this time of the year, I don't even want to go back.

4. Well, I Like To Show Up At The 19th Hole

Whip out my notebook and then play a few courses on Links 2003. Better for the blood pressure and guarenteed to make a few new friends.

Easier than trying to stuff a big cooler in the back of the cart too.

5. Oh yeah, you can't skip the nineteenth hole.
Absolutely the easiest part of the course.

Man, I do love golf, and I do it often. I'm just not very good at it, dammit.

6. Same Here

And the 19th hole is a time-honored tradition to the Scotsman who invented the game, the relaxation afterwards and the four-letter words to describe it. Besides, they had to take the chill off the wind blowing up their kilts.

7. I quit golf
Though I love the game I just didn't have enough time. It's been almost three years. It's not really a game (at least for me) they I can play just casually and still enjoy it.

Do miss it though.

8. Within The Louisville City Limits
Are 29 golf courses plus 12 Country Clubs that I know of. It takes no more than 45 minutes to drive from one corner of the county to the other in rush hour traffic with another two PGA courses within a half-hour drive from the city limits.

I just wish my handicap wasn't 100+.
