5. I don't know...
this is pretty bad. You got the lead (Elvis) played by some guy who doesn't look like him and is only able to do "angry elvis" and Randy Quaid doing a REALLY bad Irish accent-or maybe its scottish-its so bad I can't tell what it is. The chick playing Pricilla had a crying scene that literally went "boo hoo hoo" :puke: If this goes on much longer I may need some spikes to drive into my eyes. I'd turn it but my hubby is watching it.

8. Okay here is my nomination
The title of it is "Who is Julia?" a made for TV movie that aired in 1986 on one of the big three. (forget which one) It starred Mare Winningham (St Elmos Fire or Wyatt Earp for those not born back then)and was about a pair of woman who were in a accident one was a fashion model, the other was a housewife. The models body was basically damaged beyond repair in the accident while the housewife (played by Winningham) was brain dead but intact. So they did a brain transplant putting the models brain into the housewifes body. I have also seen it on the home of almost all made for TV movies "Lifetime."

4. I'm rather enjoying it.
There have been much, much worse ones. For example, there was one a few years ago, based on a Stephen King novel, about an airplane that goes into another universe or something and the passengers are menaced by some kind of monsters at an abandoned airport. Can't remember what it was called but it was really stupid.

14. I declare myself the winner with this entry
The Star Wars Holiday Special hands down is the worst made for tv movie. Nothing can compare to its awfulness.

7. Absolute WORST network TV movie.
Multi-part movie called "Amerika."

Was the right-wing's "answer" to "The Day After."
It wasn't bad. It was HORRIBLE!

9. It sucked but if I recall it was done by Chris Christoferson
who from what I know is far from being a right winger. Though I maybe incorrect

22. Ben Stein was also involved in "Amerika"
From one of the fawning Stein bios on some asshat Repub site:

He has also been a longtime screenwriter, writing among many other scripts (most of which were never made) the first draft of "The Boost," a movie based on "Ludes" and the outlines of the lengthy miniseries "Amerika" and the acclaimed MOW, "Muder in Mississippi."

Based on what I've read of his stuff, I don't blame the movie-makers. I wouldn't let that shithead anywhere NEAR a movie script.

It would probably be full of lovable tyrants who get off torturing liberals. With a soundtrack by John Ashcroft...

BTW, the fine writer Daryl Ponicsan (The Last Detail, Cinderalla Liberty)ended up writing the script for "The Boost." It was based on Ben Whine's lachrymose book about a hustling NY friend of his who moved to LA and got hooked on drugs.

Now knowing that Stein is one of most loud-mouthed right-wingers on the topic of Personal Responsibility, just guess what he blamed his friend's downfall on? Why, the city of Los Angeles, of course!

12. I'm an Elvis fan
And yeah, this is pretty bad. It isn't really too accurate. For an example, "Ann Margarette" tells him he should do songs like the Beatles. Then a while later they are watching the Kennedy assassination.
There are tons more. I thought this was going to be done well, it is pretty bad.

19. It was pretty bad
The guy should have at least watched some Elvis footage and learned a few songs before he played the part.
I will have to agree with you and say that this was one of the worse network movies they have made. Not just because I am an Elvis fan, it was just done so bad.

15. It's not that bad...some good dish ....
Long story short, he married his "mother", then wouldn't make love to her after Lisa Marie was born because he doesn't do "mothers"

And, he was up for the lead in West Side Story...never knew that?

Randy Quaid will always be Cousin Eddie to me :)
