A stupid random question...
Are ex-first ladies covered by secret service protection? If so are SS agents following Hillary all around the floor of the Senate or do they just stand in the back of the room?

Ok I'll just go back to smoking my crack now...cheers! :smoke:

1. As I understand it
Bill is the first former president who will not have lifetime SS body-guarding - I think the guys get to clock off after 10 years or so. Hillary currently has SS protection at times; I do not believe they accompany her in Senate chambers, but I don't know for sure.

2. Hmmm is that a new policy?
I personally don't think Bill would really need coverage after a while, just a few years out of office and he has become quite a beloved symbol of America...but Chimpy on the other hand, I wonder how he feels about this policy, being that he and Clinton are about the same age and all.

4. Yes...
I think that I heard of it when Bill left office... and frankly, I think Bill needs it more than anyone else other than the current occupant of the Oval Office. But I think at the time it was trumpeted as a cost-saving measure.
