Yesterday on the metrolink I saw a couple of women
with two young girls. One girl looked to be about four and the other around seven years of age. One woman sat on one side of the aisle and had two seats to herself. The other woman sat with the two little girls on the other side of the ailse.

The woman with the girls was playing with them and teaching the youngest one to say "shut up!" She did that for a few minutes and then started play slapping the little girl in the face and then telling her to say "shut up!"

It disturbed me because while the one woman thought it was cute to hear a little girl say "shut up" and call her names, I couldn't help but think that once that kid gets to school she's already going to be full of attitude. If she is too full of attitude she will be classified as a behavior problem.

Easy to see why some kids start so far behind on the first day of kindergarten.
