3. Nancy Kulp ran for Congress from Pennsylvania in the 70's.
That's the only Democratic actor or actress I can think of who has run for elective office.

7. The button-down secretary lady from "The Beverly Hillbillies"
(I think the character's name was Miss Hathaway), ran for office in some Midwestern state some years back. Buddy Ebsen trashed her to the dogs and back (real classy there, Buddy) and she lost. Guess Buddy Ebsen thought he was a REAL clueless, backward hayseed hillbilly. Fuck him and the 14-year old cousin he rode in on.
