3. Perhaps it's not a war as much as women
wanting to be heard and the men don't like what we say. That's what I think.

12. Sexism will be the last acceptable prejudice
Because it is "natural". Who am I to complain about sexism when I admitted that I may be sexist because I get scared if I'm alone with five or more men? Sexism has been with us a long time and it is everywhere. We are all shaped by it and cannot imagine what the world would be like without it. Some people say that they like the fact that the opposite sex is different. When there is a dicotomy though, it is natural for us to classify one set of traits as desirable and good and the other set of traits as undesirable and bad. Some say there are few real differences and sex difference is all a figment of society's imagination imposed on women to keep us down. Personally, I haven't made up my mind, but it is wrong to discriminate against people on the basis of sex. It is wrong to accuse people of not being real men or real women and tell them that it is wrong to be how they are becuase their sex isn't suppose to be like that. It is wrong to tell them that they cannot and have to do something because that is what their sex is suppose to do. It is wrong to hate people because of their sex and make assumptions before you know them.

16. I find your feelings so interesting...
mainly because I far more often feel more comfortable around guys than gals (gay and straight, BTW...) I personally can understand feeling uncomfortable, but not scared. Hey, it's like coming upon a bear rummaging around your campsite. For the first few seconds, at least, it's more scared of you than you of it...

OK, without being flip: my personal advice (& please tell me to go to hell if you don't want to hear it) is to try and forget about all those penises when you are in that situtation... Men and women are more similar than different, certainly in the biological sense. As a for instance: you know both males and females have nipples, right? That's because every human, at the early fetal stages, forms along an identical path; only when we become awash in hormones through the umbilical cord do our cells begin to shape differently. Except for some of our glands and overall differing levels of hormones, biologically we are so close to being the same.

Sorry for the rambling: I'm pretty darn tired.

18. You're like my sister
She prefers the company of men. Her last two years of high school she hardly had any girl friends. She says she doesn't trust them...wierd? yes I know.

20. It's not that I don't trust women
I just don't share any affinity to "chick" stuff. And of course, not every woman is like that: I have women friends who are not. But I have found very, very often women will say horrible things to me as if I am just expected to agree with it; you know, like "Just like a man, ready to pick up a gun and shoot."

Let me put it another way. I'm 34 and I still feel very strange putting on makeup.
