yee haw! I miss Bayern. You just can't get good spargel here, and I had some American sauerkraut last night that could have killed a pig.

3. the really cool thing about Bavaria

is that almost nothing is further than three hours apart with the autobahn. The best part is that Bavaria is the south; it's very rural, laid back, friendly, relaxed, exactly the opposite of the uptight black leather wearing "now vee dance on Shprockets" Berlin sort of German that we use for stereotypes.

Okay, so we wear lederhosen and feathered caps, but when you think of beermaids in dirndls sporting gallon tankers of beer in the beer tent, those are Bavarian darlings.
