12. I hope she's not 8 years old or something. Am I really on that level?
I watch shows targeted for kids. American Idol, America's NextTop Model, I even watch MTV's Real World. What can I say? It's tough being an adult!:spank:
I was rooting for Lluvy. At the beginning of the season I took one look at her and thought to myself, "They must be kidding" but after a few episodes she grew on me. I thought she was really lovely. I kinda lost interest after she was booted but I'm still watching out of habit.
I think that if she had stayed a bit longer she would have figured it out. It really bothered me that when she got eliminated it was after having the photoshoot where they had wind and water blowing in her face. There was no way that she was going to figure out what to do with her eyes under those conditions. Actually, I don't think that ANTM has the best photographers onhand. After last season they did a special episode about where last years crop of women are now. Norelle got snatched up by an agency and I saw some pictures of her that were stunning. None of the photos that were taken of her on the show came anywhere near these photos. I'd bet that in the right hands Lluvy could take much better pictures than the ones we saw.
They did not give her much chance to learn how to use her eyes to her advantage. I think they pretty much already know who they want from the beginning and the other girls create drama so they keep them. Lluvy was nice and she did not create any drama, so they went ahead a let her go. ?????
I started watching it in the second season and couldn't believe how quickly I got hooked. There hasn't been a show that I've HAD to tune in for every week in many years. I had pretty much given up on tv.
I felt better about my addiction when I saw an article at Salon a few months ago about how good ANTM was. :)
The first season I avoided it like the plague. I thought "What could be more boring than a show about models?" Umm...glad I was wrong.
25. did you watch the first episode of this season where they did the
selection process ?
Tacora was plus size. but the girl they highlighted this season in the selection episode wasn't really that big. she is big compared to most models though. but among americans she owuld probably be "average" size. i thought she was really pretty , much prettier than the girls they ended up picking for the show but she wasn't thin.i don't think tacora was all that though and she largely got on the show because of personality.
and of course this girl who is on this season right now Keenyah, she has gained some weight but she would probably still be considered thin outside of the modeling industry. but on the show she is seen as having a weight problem.
35. Well I am sure it is hard. I tend to stay the same size, but I am still
young and that may change. I've already noticed I can't eat like I could when I was 18 and I'm just 26. As long as you are healthy, size is just a number to me.
24. i admit i watch it ever since VH-1 showed all the episodes of last season
i didn't even know about it until vh1 was showing all the episodes from last season where that short(for a model) girl won.
and now i'm watching this season. i think the thing that is interesting about it is that they seem to just want to make fun of the girls by making them do things that most models probably don't even have to. i also think the judging can be funny sometimes. it's not that great a show but it's kind of fun to watch as long as you don't take it too seriously.
if someone really wanted to be a model i would advise them to NOT go on that show. i'm sure they get to do a few things from appearing on the show but i don't think any of them will become true "supermodels".
