Don't you hate it when you think you've found the answer...
... and the answer SUCKS????!!!

For the past 3 days I have been trying to figure out why it seems I can't get enough sleep. I didn't sleep well on Sunday night, so that explained why I was tired on Monday. I did sleep well Monday night and Tuesday night, and I even took a nap yesterday afternoon. Still tired. Can't shake it.

The doctor's office just called w/ my the results of my son's blood work. He has mono. I'm going to be tested later this afternoon.

Here's what sucks: I've been training to run a 5K. The race is next Saturday. I want very much to run this race, but the doctor's instruction to my son were: no contact sports or strenuous activity for 6 to 8 weeks. If I have it, the same will apply for me, I imagine.

You know, it took me a long time to develop a routine of exercise. I hope they will allow me some form of exercise. If I have to stop for 6 to 8 weeks, I'll have to start all over again.

1. Yeah but imagine your stamina once you are effectively treated
if you do have mono.

3. That DOES stink!!
Same think happened to me last year: training for a 5K, then I got a stress fracture in my foot. Could barely put weight on it for six weeks. Then it was winter, and I got fat.

NOW I'm starting all over!

But if it is mono... please do take it easy. Stressing your body when you have mono can make it LAST and LASt and LAST...

Good luck! Hope it's just a passing bug!

4. Doc only said no strenuous activity
You could still do a work out. Stretch, walk, yoga, light jog.
