And, it was similar in China when I went last year. You'd see the inner cities with beautiful new skyscrapers all over, people driving late model cars, homes with big screen TVs and home theater systems, etc... and, then just outside the cities you'd see miles of run-down tenement buildings with no, or few, windows, rusted roofs, & crap all over the place.
