Do I really need to have 5 cats?
This one has been on Petfinder in my area for MONTHS:

Siamese,Balinese Mix

Size: Medium
Age: Adult
Sex: Male
I.D:

Notes: Rainbow is a gentle and very loving boy that likes to ride on your shoulder. This boy is Feline Leukemia tested negative and is healthy except for having lost most of his teeth to gingivitis which is not due to old age but inherited. This means he has to be fed his food moistened and he needs one dose of inexpensive medication per day. He gets along well with other cats but would do well as an only cat. He's been waiting for a home for a long time. Rainbow would be ok as an indoor or indoor/outdoor cat.

5. Yes, if you can provide a good home for a 'special needs' kitty
Rainbow is gorgeous; I'm sure he'd love to have you as his human. :)

6. LV, you know I am the wrong person to offer a response to this question.
But I do imagine we'll be seeing Rainbow in your sig line before too long.

My philosophy: when you've got five, what's a sixth? Nothing more than one more litter box.

Good luck on your decision.

10. Petfinder.com is the devil's work!
It tempts you into wanting to adopt.

Mischief was a petfinder kitty.

14. He's very beautiful.....
I'm a sucker, too. Funny story - ex hubby and I were visiting some friends one day and there was a little black cat in the dumpster by their house - broke my heart. She was so sweet, too - came right up to me and let me love her. But I knew hubby would have a fit if I took her because he was a fucking asswipe and I already had four or five cats so I finished petting her and got in the car.

He got in and fumbled around for a minute, then finally burst out with, "Well, aren't you going to take that poor cat? She'll die if you don't!" Big softie, but if I'd taken her without waiting for him to say it, I never would have heard the end of it.

I had her for another ten years or more - she was the best cat....

15. Yeah...my boyfriend is the same way.
He was the one responsible for adopting Xantha, Tonka, and Sybil (he suggested I "take them in". I however, had to practically beg to adopt Mischief from kitty jail.

19. Rainbow needs to be indoor-only.. a cat with few teeth
would be at a disadvantage if another cat attacked him..

He's a pretty boy.. you might just need him :)

I only ever wanted ONE cat, but have waaaay more than that...but who would I part with?

21. I have five as well
Edited on Mon May-09-05 05:37 PM by Cool Hand Luke
No photographs.

But they are:

Tober. Peed on my monitor and shorted it out.
someone also peed on my keyboard and shorted it out.

Five. So named because he was the last of a litter of five to get a name.

Dusty. Five's remaining sibling.

Little One. Stray male found in my yard on the verge of starvation.

And then to top it off one night I found:

Lucky. In store parking lot following group of kids at 2:30 a.m. took him home. That's how he got his name.

Got a Rotweiller/Shepherd mix named Boo as well.
