Savage, I know, but she's protecting the house, bless her heart.

And now, she's dug a hole so deep in our yard that she can stand in
it and be completely below ground level. I think it's trench warfare with the possums.

Everybody say hi to my Julie: (also answers to Julie-roo, Julie-ulie, black puppy, and 'put that down!')

Yes, she's full grown. And a complete sweetie.

3. When you said "mini lab" my first thought was
that you should stop these hideous animal experiments with possums!

Then I realized it was not a misguided desire for scientific knowledge that killed the possums, but instead was ordinary canine instinct.

Our dog, killer of squirrels and a few pigeons, would agree with your lab's approach.

Oh, and your dog is adorable - and has a very intelligent look about her as well.

4. oh... 'mini-lab' ... I hadn't thought of it that way
:) I kinda feel bad about the dead animals. I also had to dispose of them before I could mow the jungle in my back yard.

10. You mean your dog doesn't bury his kill?
Our guy is very thorough about it.

Problem is, he tends to dig it up after a week and drag it around. Nothing like a molding squirrel carcass on our front lawn to impress the neighbors.

7. That's what I thought, too -- but I wondered what a possum would be
doing in a meth lab. Eating the Sudafed? Who knows?

5. What a cutie
she is a doll. I know my labs would always kill possums, woodchucks and whatever else they could find in the yard that wasnt suppose to be there.
They are great dogs :)

6. Ahhhh, so cute, HI Julie-ulie!
We used to have a female lab who was not really very big. I miss her so. Her name was Tootie. Now we have a big old lug named Mingus, about 90 pounds.

Have fun with that digging. The lab we had before Tootie was Bently and he ate the walls off of his doghouse then tunneled underneath. It was a Gazebo with a basement. When he got bored with that he clawed through the dry wall and siding in the garage and made a personal doggie door next to the doggie door. He was a good dog but that digging was a tough one.

12. the guy we got her from said
she was Black Lab and Dalmatian, but I don't think so. She got to about 40 pounds and quit growing.

13. I bet you she's part Toller - 40 pounds is about right a little light but
only by maybe ten pounds
