My older brother thinks if I say something, it's shit. I told him gently last year that I didn't think buying my legally blind 83 year old mother a rose bush was a good idea, he said, "oh if you want a rose bush, I'll get you a rose bush". In other words, "___ is an asshole and an unfeeling daughter." So what does he do? Goes through a ridiculous online thing and buy her a miniature rose online for Mother's Day. So it arrives dead and she doesn't even see it's dead. I called him today and he says, "she didn't tell me it was dead". How fucking legally blind does your 83 year old mother have to be before someone comprehends the situation? I said, have you ever closed your eyes and run your hands around a rose bush? "Oh I didn't think about that." Oh yeah well you could have talked to me about why I objected, I who live near my mother and see her every week and know about her disabilities. But no, I am shit to him. He and his wife stayed in my condo last year when they were up here, but apparently, I'm still shit to him.
