In conjunction with my fist fight post - ever ran from a fight?

I sure as hell did once. There was this big Ogre (his nickname was "pots" if that's any indication)in high school, never liked me, musta been my continued disrespect towards him. One day he said, "I'm gonna kick your ass, it's coming." I thought, "he wouldn't dare." So I disregarded it.
On the LAST day regular classes in High School, I'm walking to my car and this monster comes walking up to me, I said "what you waiting for me in the parking lot?" And turned to walk off, then the fucker hit me from behind a few times.
My first instinct was to work him over, so I threw off my hat and rolled up a sleeve as I walked toward him. Then suddenly I realized I was more confused than mad. I'd always been mad before.... I began talking to him.... which calmed me down, but not him. So he was still all pissed and I was calm. He decided he still wanted to beat me. And it never even occurred to me to fight then, I just ran like a mother fucker.
TO this day my friend who saw it always laughs.
He recalls saying to a couple spectators who thought I was gonna ge worked, "I don't know man, Jer's a tough scrapper" then as I started to run he was shocked.
I used to get into alot of fights in Junior high, but some stupid summer of enlightenment cause me to become a pacifist, which softened me up, hence no fist-fight.

I did renounced pacifism the next day because I had a test to write. I decided if I saw that guy I was gonna hurt him. I never saw him though.
