4. that's two mentions for pepperoni, but
I don't recall having ever seen it provided as a condiment. I'll need some photographic evidence of pepperoni as a condiment...

;-)

19. Hm. I was gonna say
"anything you usually get sealed in an individual serving sized container," but that would eliminate both lox and pickled herring, both of which I've seen served as condiments.

Let's say condiments are anything served in a separate dish, and intended to be distributed on top of a dish as an addition to it's prepared state.

And come to think of it, I've heard of shredded coconut refered to as "coconut meat," so there's another meat condiment, loosely defined.

:D

26. If we are to include salad bar items,
Then fake crab meat, real crab meat, chicken, turkey, ham, tuna, taco meat and shrimp would all be in play.

28. I guess, since a salad IS a course in itself, and
there ARE a variety of things served to be applied to the salad, then these things are condiments. Yup - lots more than bacon bits.

31. "Bits"??? Hell, I've come to just consider all bacon a condiment
you can put it on the chicken, you can put it on the egg
you can eat it with your beef
you can wrap it 'round your leg

ok, that last is a stretch, but it works with a little imagination.

32. Oh, no - it's true. I wrap it 'round my beef, too.
I've never tried wrapping it around a leg of lamb, but I'm sure it'd be delicious.
