Is there an official procedure for disposing of an aging DU sticker?
The one on my car is getting decrepit, old and worn out, so I'm going to retire it, and put on a new one.
What I'm wondering is if it's like flag disposal, do I have to light up a certain end? or maybe put it into the recycle bin after I scrape it off.

1. It's a good thing you asked
I happen to know quite a lot about the Official Disposal Of DU Bumper Stickers. In fact, I am considered in some circles - well, by me - to be the final authority on the subject.

First, it is imperative that you remove the sticker in one piece. This will involve great care and patience on your part. Perhaps a single-edge razor blade. Maybe some alcohol. Nail polish remover can't hurt.

Then, you'll need some Crazy Glue, or anything of that ilk. (I'm told Liquid Steel works, but I have no first-hand experience with that.)

Third, you'll need to make sure you have your intact and retired DU sticker with you when you next go to a mall or anywhere you will find parked cars. Lots of them. (An affluent suburb in the South is your best bet, but I'm sure you'll figure this out.)

Fourth, you'll see a car with a Bush-Cheney bumper sticker. This is your destination.

Do I really need to spell out the rest?

Good luck, and smoke 'em if ya got 'em.

<saluting>

11. PERFECT! Just one thing though...
The razor blade is for THE BUMPER STICKER, not your wrists.
Just wanted to clarify that.
Can't be too careful, ya know.

3. OLL had an excellent procedure, but there is an approved alternative
you can rip it off your car and shove it up the rectal orifice of a freeper.

5. You can't scrape it off, unless you are sure you can get it all
in one piece!!

Your only real option is to burn the car with the sticker attached. You have to burn until nothing is left but ash and a small pile of metal. Usually, this takes a few days of continuous burn.

19. A little known fact
If you burn a car with a Bush-Cheney bumper sticker on it, your old DU sticker automatically peels itself off your car.

No, really. It's true.
