OK. Here's how it works. If you have personally shaken hands with Skinner you have a Skinner number of 1. If you've shaken hands with someone who has shaken hands with Skinner then your Skinner number is 2, and so on.

So who here has shaken hands with both Skinner and Howard Dean? If such a person exists then Howard Dean himself has a Skinner number of 2 and everyone who has shaken hands with Howard Dean has a Skinner number of 3, but if Skinner himself has shaken hands with Howard Dean then everybody who has shaken hands with Howard Dean has a Skinner number of 2. I've never been to a DU gathering :( Babies, being situated in the wrong place geographically, lack of overnight sitters, and just bad timing in general. I may have a connection to Howard Dean because of people I've known who worked for Dem candidates. I guess that could possibly extend to Skinner as well.
