Loyal Democrat on THIS SITE is the requirement, as far as I understand it. Clearly, the Catholic part is no longer considered appropriate for DU, which is appalling on so many levels, and is one of the reasons DU is shifting further and further away from the Democratic base.

So is the DU vigilante group planning to track everyone's IP address through the net to find out if they're involved in extracurricular sexual behavior? Is that grounds for TSing?

The nephew story is still a mystery to me. I looked at the posts, but do not see a false name. I would appreciate it if anyone could enlighten me, and if that is true, THIS is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, and is certainly grounds for a permanent TS, no question.

As for being tested by God, it is not up to others to determine what tests another's faith. That you would presume to tell me or others to "consider this your test", shows that you are internalizing this drama in a way that may not be healthy.

This is an internet forum. People lie on the internet all the time. There are others, and I presume you are one of them, who respect the same social conventions on the interenet as they do in the rest of their lives. But any forum member should understand that there are scammers all over the place, and in my observations, the ones who post the most personal information tend to be the most alienated and unsupported in their personal lives.

Personally, I'm let down by this development, but on more levels than just the revelation of the fake identities. This has been handled like a junior highschool gossip fest, and to me it indicates that the admins have given up on some level of decorum they insisted upon in the past. Having been one of the people who came periously close to getting TSd while "outing" a sockpuppet of a banned member in the past, I can attest that the standards have changed in a very big way around here.
