There's a huge encrusted, bloody booger that appears in my right nostril lining literally every few minutes. Also, a little part of the right nostril is starting to get sore when I press on it. I've been going through Kleenex like crazy the past week or so, I've been blowing my nose so much. I don't have a cold or anything, it's just in this one nasal passage, and it's been going on for about a week. This thing literally closes up my right nostril. I was thinking it may be the dry weather, or maybe allergies. I've never had allergies before. Either way, do you think I need to see a doctor??

Can you do without? Sure, but it'll take a lot longer to get rid of it. This from a lifelong allergy sufferer that gets infections every year.

I read about a guy who had a raging fungal infection of the sinuses. He wound up losing his face: everything between his brows and his lower jaw.

Admittedly, this is rare -- even in those who have the risk factors -- but still... I've been warning people ever since.

Probably he or she will will give me an antibiotic nasal spray or something...
