So I had a little grilled lamb, a little grilled chicken, a half of a baked yam, some pinto beans w/bacon and a dollop of hummus. Salad.

But I do envy you.

12. wow, when do you usually dine? If you let me know I'll be there tomorrow!
That sounds awesome! Reading all the other posts on this thread, it sounds like we have quite a gourmet group posting here. I'm very impressed with all the scrumptious dinners everyone is preparing! Tonight, I fixed beef stroganoff and fresh carrots as a side. I was too tired (and lazy) to fix a side salad to accompany it. It was good all the same though!

15. Morel mushroom season is just beginning on my side of the state
Edited on Mon May-02-05 09:20 PM by youthere
we're having a cold snap so it's a little stunted. My husband's sister lives on the west side of the state and they've had a lot better luck so they brought some back this weekend.
Stroganoff sounds AWESOME.

We eat at 5, but you might want to avoid meatloaf night. I've never been able to get that right for some reason.

19. i don't think there's anyway to mess up meatloaf is there?
do you serve it with a ketchup-based topping? My mom used to always fix it that way, and serve it with mashed potatoes and green beans. talk about comfort food.... I make mine the super lazy way: I think heinz or something like that makes a can of meatloaf fixer-upper stuff (much like manwich, but for meatloaf), and I just follow the directions on the can. Comes out great every time!

20. boy, that sounds super healthy!
I am glad it was a 'balanced' meal! All throughout college, some 20++ years ago, I was soooo hooked on Ding Dongs! I just love them!
