Go ahead... oooh and ahhhh. ;)
The task of naming my favorite room in my house is difficult. Being a “chowhound”, it is hard to exclude the kitchen. The kitchen is where my mother prepares meals to squelch my hunger. On the other hand, the bathroom is where I get cleaned up for the ladies and read the morning newspaper. I’m also fond of my den. The den is where my family watches the Tide roll over their opponents on Saturday afternoons in the Fall. I have many fond memories of my den. If forced to choose my favorite room in the house, I would have to choose my bedroom. The best thing about my bedroom, is that is my room. It is the only room in the house that I can call my own. Because it is my room, I get to choose how it is decorated. When I walk into my bedroom, I am captivated by it’s masculine, dark green walls. The walls are adorned with autographs from some of the greatest names in the history of sports. For example, my bedroom has autographed photos and jerseys from such legends as Reggie Jackson, Joe Namath, Bear Bryant, Joe DiMaggio, and Larry Bird. My bedroom is literally a hall of fame. In short, my bedroom is a place where I am allowed to express my love of sports. A paper about my bedroom would be incomplete if I failed to mention my bed. I have the coolest bed in town. It is an antique bed, made out of cherry wood. It has exquisite, ornate wood carvings on the headboard and baseboard. The bedspread is a plush, khaki goosedown comforter. The mattress is ultra soft. Sleeping in my bed is like sleeping on a cloud. My bedroom is the one room in my house where I am in total control. I know that one day I will own a home and that that home will be my castle. For now however, my bedroom is my castle. I am the king. This is particularly true when I get the lights out call at 10:30 every night. Long live the King!
