Well I did it. I bought a camera. Canon EOS 20D.

I shopped around and got one with a zoom lense included for $1500.00. Damn! I know I spent too much but its one of the best.
Ma left me some money so I thought I'd get what I want this time, and this is a beatiful camera. Now after I spend 2 weeks reading and digesting the manual I may be able to do some fun stuff.

Best Buy threw in a lense where Fry's, Good Guys, K-Mart, Ritz...had the same price but only the body. BB gave me the lense too.

And he is planning on buying one too.
Now if I can master all the features.... Its gonna be fun!

It's a website where you post your photos and people rate them and give you critiques. There is also a good forum for all Canon EOS users where you can post questions and people answer.

It's been really helpful for me.

2. We have the previous model, the 10D.

It's a wonderful camera, takes incredible pictures. The 20D is even better, I hear.

I know this seems silly, but there's something satisfying about the general SLR design and the ka-thunk of the mirror retracting. :)
