You wouldn't believe the astonished looks I get when I tell people South Park is real. Often the next words out of their mouths are "can I move there?"

Who here did not know that South Park is a real place? Fess up...

1. Didn't the creators of the show attend Columbine High School?
That's what I seem to remember from Bowling for Columbine.

7. Indeed.
I've driven through there on the way to some ski mountains a few times. South Park isn't a real town, but more of a geographical region. I suspect you'll find it on a topographical map. However, if there's a town that looks like the South Park on the show, it's Fairplay.

Ever been to Alma? It's about a dozen buildings on the side of a highway somewhere around there. A mark of a true Coloradan is to boast that you've had a drink at "Alma's Only Bar", which is what it's called. I, alas, cannot say that, as I'm only 18 and haven't driven through Alma since I was about 10.
