at places like Chi-Chis. Too bad Chi-Chis reputation sucks right about now. :( (Some of them are completely gone!)

We were in Flagstaff in 88, going cross-country when we stopped at a slightly upscale restaurant, and while the meal was good, they had the corn flake shell on the fried ice cream--first time I'd come across it, and was mortified. I judged restaurants for a long time on whether their fried ice cream was corn flakes or sugar. I had to stop judging that way after awhile--turns out we'd never get to eat out if that was the main criteria!
