2. i've always been lihop, but more and more, i think: what WAS their agenda?
prior to 9/11, their agenda was tax cuts, funding religion, and ... what, agonize over banning stem cell research?

they had no agenda, they were seemingly doing NOTHING. then "along come" 9/11, and suddenly, they've got this entire fascist agenda cooked up. the patriot act was passed faster than it could have been scribbled down. suddenly, they've got this entire thing worked out, from image to bills to executive orders, to war plans, etc. -- where did it all come from.

the timing was just too perfect. january 20 to september 11 is just about enough time for get things in place to pull that sort of thing off, and plan for what to do afterward, meanwhile, seemingly not accomplishing much of anything other than the tax cuts.

now, when we was mihop, left open is just WHO made it happen on purpose. i remain fairly convinced that shrub himself was kept in the dark, though i'm certain he had some kind of warming before 9/11. there's just no other excuse for him to keep listening to that children's story unless he was told, "DON'T jump into action until we say so."

most likely, cheney and and the other neo-cons....

3. He could always resign
Preferably preceeded by Cheney, and the election of a decent Veep.
