This is really annoying me with Baseball, it makes the game hard to follow because I can't remember the players names.

5. The Cubs
The Cubs took names off the home jerseys, too.

There never used to be names on baseball jerseys, it's a fairly recent trend actually.

3. I haven't noticed that
Maybe it's an attempt to get some of the players' egos under control.

7. Players have always had egos, its just now that the media talks about it
It used to be in the day Bobby Lane, then Detroit Lions quarterback, used to drive thru downtown Detroit at 3 in the morning w/ a sports writer beside him driving at over 100 mph after they just got out of a bar after a night of drinking. And you did'nt hear about what they would say or to whom about just what they did on the field.

11. Well
I guess it's hard not to have a big head when you're rich and everybody loves you, but I was just joking around.

6. I think it's cool.
I like the old school uni's with no names. I'm a big fan of throwbacks.

8. Ya can't tell the players without a scorecard!

Hell, they've already got numbers on their backs!

The Yankees never put players names on their jerseys. You don't need them with their line-up. Who's #2? Who wore #3? #7? and on it goes.

I wish they'd go back to the days when the names weren't on. We can probably thank Charlie Finley for that atrocity.

13. To boost the sales of the $12.00 programs that have the scorecards.
Just trying to soak you for all you got at the ballpark.
