time :).

BUAHAHAHAHAHA.

It takes a real moron to call himself a "hacker" and not know what 127.0.0.1 is :)

You girl, turn off your firewall!

I especially liked "tell me your network number man then you're dead". LOL . . . oh shit, the second I saw that I knew the kid was in trouble :).

16. Yup, it's basically an address your computer uses as a host
address for locally stored web sites, etc. It's not the same as your IP address that is visible to the rest of your network or the internet.

It is the address that spyware blocking programs and the like will use to prevent infection, as it will redirect commonly used domain names from their internet location to localhost (for instance if it would normally go to XXXX.com with an IP address of 123.123.123.123, it will now reroute every request for xxxx.com to 127.0.0.1

I can understand a non-techie not knowing this, I wouldn't expect you to, but someone who claims to be a hacker not knowing this is like your mechanic not knowing where to add oil to your engine. :).

21. Yup, its the so called 'loopback' IP address
very useful for testing when you're not physically networked. In fact 127.anything.anything.anything is loopback.

Edited on Mon Apr-25-05 02:39 PM by hobbit709
they really are. I wonder if this idiot has enough sense to come in out the rain.
It's like the line in an old H Beam Piper novel, "You have just enlarged my view of the possible."
