Memory Lane (resized pics but still dial-uppers be warned)
Since I am having a blast with my new scanner, let's post pics from way back to the present. Why not? C'mon on. It'll be fun.

Me first.

My dad and I in front of Hotel del Coronado in San Diego circa 1969.

Next up was my Broadway winning performance as the Plate and the Spoon in the awarding winning 1972 kindergarten class in Millington, Tennessee.

Move ahead now...My brother and I with one of my uncles circa 1973.

Let's speed up to the 80's. Here I am being GQ with my then girlfriend who was very much into photography. This pic was taken in what is now the West End of Dallas, but at this time, it was nothing but run-down buildings.

Okay, I go to college, graduate, and then get married. There is much more, but it's for another thread. Here is a portrait of my wife and I.

These scanners are fun!

1. Nice scans! What kind of scanner are you using?
Why are old snapshots so much cooler than current ones? Thanks for sharing these glimpses of history...

6. I'm using an Epson 2580

It's definitely one of their lower-end but it gets the job done. The pics you see are at just 300 dpi. The next ones I scan will be higher. I didn't realize I could set the dpi manually.

If you like older pictures, look at these. This is my mom with her grandma and then a portrait of her. Both are from the early 40's in far deep south Texas, around the border town of Eagle Pass.
This one I resized too much. I'll fix it later.
